You may not know this about me, but I am a huge fan of frozen fruit bars, ice creams, and other frozen treats! I always have a stash of them in my freezer and am constantly trying new flavors. Last weekend I was browsing the grocery store for a new flavor when I spotted a box of Fruttare Mango bars. I am not normally a huge fan of mangos but I decided to step outside my comfort zone and quickly threw the box in my cart.
Later that night, I was searching through my freezer when I spotted those Mango bars hidden behind my frozen fruit that I use for smoothies. That’s when the idea hit me! I immediately got out my NutriBullet and whipped up a smoothie using frozen strawberries, frozen raspberries, 1 Fruttare Mango bar, and a splash of almond milk.
It worked out perfectly and the frozen fruit bar provided a perfect amount of sweetness to the smoothie. I will definitely continue to use these bars in smoothies because let’s face it, who knows how to cut up a mango?! (If you know how then I give mad props to you!)
I am so glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone and tried the Mango flavor because it’s delicious! It’s sweet and creamy and made with frozen fruit and real fruit juice. I will continue to use these in my smoothies as well as eating them straight up! I might even try some of the other Fruttare flavors: Strawberry & Milk, Peach & Milk, Mixed Berries & Milk, Black Cherry, and Pineapple.
