When people smell or think of cinnamon, they often imagine falling leaves, cooler weather, and spiced apple cider. Of course, the aroma of cinnamon reminds me of all those things too but it also reminds me of sunsets, beaches, and spending evenings on the patio with a drink in hand. Cinnamon is a fabulous flavor that should be used year-round. Trust me when I say that once you make this simple syrup, you’ll be adding it to everything!
This cinnamon simple syrup has so many uses which is what I love most about it. You can make a batch of it at the beginning of the week and then use it in your morning coffee, iced tea, and evening cocktails. This simple syrup would also be fabulous to brush on unfrosted cake layers, which helps add moisture to your cake. Speaking of frosting, this cinnamon simple syrup would be a great way to spice up your favorite buttercream frosting recipe. Seriously you guys, the options here are endless.
