Fruit Pizza

I made fruit pizza on Tuesday night and it was a big hit with everyone. The recipe was very easy to follow and didn't take much time to make. I had originally seen the recipe on Pinterest where it was immediately pinned to my Recipes to Try board. Below is the altered recipe I used for my delicious dessert.

1 package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Slightly grease the bottom of a pizza pan.  Prepare sugar cookie mix as directed for drop cookies (mine called for 1 stick of butter and 1 egg) and spread evenly on the bottom of pizza pan.  Bake for 8-10 minutes or until slightly brown around outside of crust.  Cool completely.
As the cookie crust is cooling, wash and prepare fruit. Slice strawberries and kiwis and leave blueberries and raspberries whole.
Then, prepare the cream cheese layer by beating the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until smooth and creamy. Spread onto cooled cookie crust.

Arrange fruit on top of cream cheese layer in a circle pattern, starting from the outside and working your way inwards.

NOTE: I used strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, and raspberries but you can use whatever fruit you have on hand and enjoy. Pineapples might be good or mandarin oranges. You could also drizzle white chocolate (or milk or dark) over top too.
If you'd like to use the original recipe, see that here.

White Flag Above My Door

If you know the famous song, White Flag by Dido then you know where I'm going with this. I'm officially surrendering the 30 for 30 remix challenge.

It's been almost a month since my last outfit post seen here. I've been looking through my items the past week and realized I didn't pick very wisely. The weather is finally getting warmer here in the 80 degree range and I'm sure it's only going to increase from here on out. I picked a couple of long sleeve tops and jackets along with a pair of jeans that just aren't going to work out in the warm summer months.

Although, this challenge is ending, I am still going to update my blog when possible. My month of June is jam packed with just about everything possible. With that said, I'm going to try my best to find time for my blog in the midst of chaos. Wish me luck!

Also, the blog's design is going to stay the same, but the features are going to change a little around here. I'm in the process of adding recipes to the blog as I try them, take pictures, and review them here. I've always been big on baking and I'm hoping to share some delicious recipes with you all! In fact, I will be sharing a fruit pizza recipe later this week that I made a few nights ago. YUM! I'm also planning to keep up with the inspiration boards. I really like that I'm starting to alter my fashion based on what's currently inspiring me. It's a great idea and I don't know why it's taken me this long to start! I'm thinking that maybe every Wednesday will be dedicated to an inspiration board. The day of the week might change, but that's what I'm thinking as of now.

I'm sad to have to surrender this challenge, but it's for the best. Who knows, maybe I'll start up one later on. Right now, I just have too much on my plate.
